February 25, 2019 by Gary Collinson

Netflix has released a teaser video for the upcoming second season of Altered Carbon, which introduces the new cast including Anthony Mackie (Avengers: Infinity War) as the new sleeve of protagonist Takeshi Kovacs and alongside Simone Missick (Luke Cage) as Trepp, Dina Shihabi (Daredevil) at Dig 301, Torben Liebrecht (Operation Finale) as Colonel Ivan Carrera and James Saito (The Terror) as Tanaseda Hideki as well as returning season one actors Renee Elise Goldsberry (Quellcrist Falconer) and Chris Conner (Poe).

Altered Carbon takes place in a future where the human mind can now be digitized and downloaded into a “cortical stack” and placed into new bodies, or sleeves, and follows Kovacs, a former soldier who is brought back to life in a new sleeve centuries after his death in order to investigate the attempted murder of the world’s wealthiest man.

Production on season two of Altered Carbon is underway now ahead of a premiere on Netflix later in the year.
