June 24, 2026 by Amie Cranswick

With just a week to go until X-Men ’97 returns to its eagerly-awaited second season, Marvel has shared a new trailer for the animated superhero series, along with an episode of Marvel Studios’ Legends which offers a look at the ongoing struggle between the X-Men and their most diabolic foe Apocalypse, from his first on-screen appearance in the tenth episode of X-Men: The Animated Series season 1, “Come the Apocalypse” to the continued battle with En Sabah Nur in X-Men ’97; check them out below…

“X-Men ’97” Season 2 continues with the heroic mutant team of X-Men, divided and thrown across different eras in time as they struggle to navigate their return home. Meanwhile, back in the 1990s, suspicious foes and new strains of mutant intolerance are on the rise in the wake of the X-Men’s absence.

X-Men ’97 season 2 features the voice talents of Ross Marquand as Professor X, Matthew Waterson as Magneto, Ray Chase as Cyclops, Jennifer Hale as Jean Grey, Alison Sealy-Smith as Storm, Cal Dodd as Wolverine, Lenore Zann as Rogue, and George Buza as Beast.
