Apple TV+ releases teaser trailer for Severance season 2

July 11, 2024 by Ricky Church

After two years since its first season ended, Apple TV+’s Severance is coming back for its second season on January 17th, 2025. You can watch the teaser below…

Severance is described as a sci-fi psychological thriller from creator Dan Erickson and director Ben Stiller (Tropic Thunder). The series stars Adam Scott (Parks and Recreation) as Mark Scout, who undergoes an experimental procedure called severance that separates the memories of Mark’s work life from his personal life. Season two will continue exploring the consequences of undergoing and trying to reverse the severance procedure. The full synopsis reads:

Mark Scout (Scott) leads a team at Lumon Industries, whose employees have undergone a severance procedure, which surgically divides their memories between their work and personal lives. This daring experiment in ‘work-life balance’ is called into question as Mark finds himself at the center of an unraveling mystery that will force him to confront the true nature of his work… and of himself. In Season 2, Mark and his friends learn the dire consequences of trifling with the severance barrier, leading them further down a path of woe.

Severance features a cast that includes Scott, Britt Lower, Tramell Tillman, Zach Cherry, Jen Tullock, Michael Chernus, Dichen Lachman, John Turturro, Christopher Walken, and Patricia Arquette. They will be joined by new cast members Sarah Bock, Bob Balaban, Robby Benson, Stefano Carannante, Gwendoline Christie, Ólafur Darri Ólafsson, John Noble, Alia Shawkat and Merritt Wever.

Severance Season Two will premiere January 17th, 2025.
