Arkham Asylum rumored to appear in Justice League

January 6, 2017 by James Garcia

Last month, it was confirmed that Jesse Eisenberg’s Lex Luthor would make his return to the big screen in Justice League, though in what capacity remains to be seen. However, the folks over at Batman-News seem confident that Lex’s return means that we’ll be making another trip to Arkham Asylum.

At the end of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, Lex was incarcerated and was paid a visit by Ben Affleck’s Batman. In the Ultimate Edition, Batman tells Luthor that he’s pulled a few strings, and arranged for him to be transferred to the infamous Asylum that houses many of Batman’s rogues gallery and was glimpsed briefly in Suicide Squad.

While that makes sense, further credence was given to these rumors thanks to several Justice League actors taking to IMDb to update their profiles with their roles. They are “Arkham Guard,” “Arkham Guard 2,” and “Lex Luthor Guard.” This is far from confirmation that Arkham will play a part in the upcoming DC film, considering how easy it is for people to edit information on IMDb, but it’s still an intriguing update worth considering.

Directed by Zack Snyder, Justice League will reunite Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice stars Henry Cavill as Superman, Ben Affleck as Batman, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Ray Fisher as Cyborg, Jason Mamoa as Aquaman, Ezra Miller as The Flash, Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Jeremy Irons as Alfred Pennyworth, Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor and Connie Nielsen as Queen Hippolyta alongside J.K. Simmons (Whiplash) as Commissioner Gordon, Amber Heard (The Danish Girl) as Mera, Willem Dafoe (Spider-Man) as Vulko, Kiersey Clemons (Dope) as Iris West, Ciaran Hinds (Game of Thrones) as Steppenwolf and Julian Lewis Jones (Stella) in an as-yet-unrevealed role.
