Arzette: The Jewel of Faramore, the spiritual successor to infamous CD-i games, launches digitally

February 14, 2024 by Andrew Newton

Seedy Eye Software’s debut title Arzette: The Jewel of Faramore has launched digitally on Xbox Series X, Playstation 4 & 5, Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam.  This spiritual successor to the infamous CD-i Zelda games is an all-new platforming adventure that takes players to the fantasy world of Faramore.

In this new platform adventure game the kingdom of Faramore is under threat from the evil demon king Daimur. Players will need to help the heroine, Arzette, to defeat the evil demon king and save the kingdom.  Players will guide Arzette through the kingdom and a number of different environments, where they will defeat an assortment of enemies, find powerful items and discover lost secrets.

All areas in Arzette: The Jewel of Faramore have a unique hand-painted background created by talented artists, including Rob Dunlavey, one of the artists from the games that inspired Arzette.  There are also colourful animated cutscenes featuring an all-star cast of voice talent, including Jeffrey Rath, Bonniejean Wilbur and Vinny from Vinesauce.

As players guide Arzette through Faramore, they will be accompanied by an enchanting soundtrack composed by award-winning musician Jake Silverman.

Arzette: The Jewel of Faramore is available digitally now on all platforms, but if you would prefer a hard copy of the game then look out for physical editions coming from Limited Run Games on 17th March.
