Austin Amelio’s Dwight moving to Fear the Walking Dead

January 6, 2019 by Gary Collinson

Comic Book is reporting that Austin Amelio’s Dwight is set to follow in the footsteps of Lennie James’ Morgan by swapping The Walking Dead for its companion series Fear the Walking Dead.

Dwight has been absent from the ninth season of The Walking Dead, having been banished from Alexandria by Norman Reedus’ Daryl in the season 8 finale. He will debut in season 5 of Fear the Walking Dead, which takes places years prior to the main show after the recent time jump.

“I get to have a consistent job and work with amazing people,” states Amelio. “There’s too many memories to expand upon. For some reason, Dwight keeps getting blessed with the best of both worlds. I got to work with actors from Alexandria and the Saviors. Now I get to work with actors from Fear the Walking Dead. After a year and two months of being a really good secret keeper, that’s really exciting, I get to work with everybody in this world. I feel really blessed.”
