Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice has a 32% chance of turning a profit, apparently

February 18, 2016 by admin

Following on from some news over the weekend that Warner Bros. executives are ‘worried’ about the outcome of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, a computer algorithm also has some bad news for the superhero team-up.

Researchers at the University of Iowa have plugged some data into a computer about several films this year, which takes into account the talent involved, the genre, the plot and release date. And the results from all of this was that Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice stands a 32% chance of turning a profit. Oh dear.

The data inputted is compared against every film released in the US between 2000 and 2010. The algorithm claims that the weakest probability chances are movies drama, war films, spy films, musicals, foriegn films and R-rated movies. Deadpool would like to question that last one.

Warcraft fared a little better, coming out with 39%.
