Battle it out in the 31st millennium in Warhammer 40,000: Battlesector, out now on PC

July 23, 2021 by Andrew Newton

Slitherine and Black Lab Games’ new turn-based strategy game, Warhammer 40,000: Battlesector, is now available on PC via online stores.  Set in Games Workshop’s rich Warhammer 40,000 universe, Warhammer 40,000: Battlesector will see players use the might of the Blood Angels Space Marines against the Tyranid horde.

In the Warhammer 40,000 universe humans hate xeno races with a passion, none are despised more than the Tyranids.  The Tyranid race are a chitinous horde of creatures connected by one goal, consume everything.  Once a planet has been infested by this xeno race it is almost certain to be consumed entirely with nothing remaining but barren rock.

The Devastation of Baal saw the largest concentration of Hive Fleet Leviathan focus on the Blood Angels homeworld of Baal and in Warhammer 40,000: Battlesector players will need to help Sergeant Carleon of the Blood Angels and his allies purge the Tyranid infestation on Baal Secundus and prevent this planet experiencing the same fate.

Players will be able to follow the fate of Baal Secundus through a 20 mission long single-player campaign, alternatively play as either the Blood Angels or the Tyranids in Skirmish Mode and customise the army list by choosing units and heroes, including the Sanguinary Priest, the Librarian Dreadnought or the gigantic Hive Tyrant.

Players will have access to Command Points and will be able to call in faction-specific air support abilities, such as the Blood Angels Stormraven with its missile barrage, or  the Tyranid Harpy and its Sonic Screech and Spore Mines.

There’s also the option for players to enjoy live and asynchronous multiplayer.

Warhammer 40,000: Battlesector is available now on PC via online stores and will be arriving on Xbox One and PS4 in the near future.
