Brett Goldstein’s Hercules showcased with Thor: Love and Thunder concept art

October 17, 2022 by Amie Cranswick

Marvel’s director of visual development Andy Park shared a piece of concept art from Thor: Love and Thunder showcasing the concept design for Ted Lasso star Brett Goldstein as Hercules, the son of Zeus, from his post-credits cameo in the Phase Four sequel.

Hercules Hercules! Concept designing Roy Kent as the iconic Hercules from the minds of Jack Kirby & Stan Lee was so surreal! I can’t wait to see him properly clash into the MCU with…whomever he wants to! #hercules #thorloveandthunder #characterdesign #brettgoldstein pic.twitter.com/vDhiyPaAJq

Marvel Studios’ “Thor: Love and Thunder” finds Thor (Chris Hemsworth) on a journey, unlike anything he’s ever faced – a quest for inner peace. But his retirement is interrupted by a galactic killer known as Gorr the God Butcher (Christian Bale), who seeks the extinction of the gods. To combat the threat, Thor enlists the help of King Valkyrie (Tessa Thompson), Korg (Taika Waititi), and ex-girlfriend Jane Foster (Natalie Portman), who – to Thor’s surprise – inexplicably wields his magical hammer, Mjolnir, as the Mighty Thor. Together, they embark upon a harrowing cosmic adventure to uncover the mystery of the God Butcher’s vengeance and stop him before it’s too late.

Directed by Thor: Ragnarok‘s Taika Waititi, who also reprises his CGI role as Korg, Thor: Love and Thunder stars Chris Hemsworth (Thor), alongside the returning Natalie Portman (Jane Foster), Tessa Thompson (Valkyrie), Jaimie Alexander (Lady Sif), Chris Pratt (Star-Lord), Karen Gillan (Nebula), Pom Klementieff (Mantis), Dave Bautista (Drax) and Sean Gunn (Kraglin), with Christian Bale (Ford v Ferrari) as Gorr the God Butcher and Russell Crowe (Man of Steel) as Zeus.
