Bridgerton star Phoebe Dynevor has joined A24 and Black Bear’s Famous, a thriller which stars Zac Efron in dual roles.
Famous sees Efron as movie star James Jansen and superfan Lance Dunkquist who happens to look just like Jansen. He moves to LA to pursue his dream of becoming famous and is willing to do whatever it takes to make it come true. The official synopsis reads:
Lance Dunkquist has one asset that’s about to change his life – he has the face of a movie star. And not just any movie star – Lance is the spitting image of a Hollywood icon, James Jansen. Lance is about to travel to Los Angeles to make his dream come true. Lance is going to be famous, no matter what it takes…
There is no word on Dynevor’s role in the film. So far she is the only other person announced in the cast other than Efron, who is teaming with A24 again after his dramatic biopic hit The Iron Claw.
Famous is based on the novel by Blake Crouch and will be directed by Jody Hill (The Righteous Gemstones) from a script by Chad Hodge (Wayward Pines). It will be produced by Sam Esmail, Chad Hamilton and Michael Sagol with Nick Krishnamurthy and Allison Hironaka serving as executive producers.
Dynevor will be seen next in the thriller Anniversary with Diane Lane.
