Brie Larson is cooking up Lessons in Chemistry in trailer for Apple TV+ limited series

September 14, 2023 by Matt Rodgers

Apple TV has debuted the trailer for their Limited Series Lessons in Chemistry, which is based on the best-selling novel by Bonnie Garmus and stars Brie Larson as Elzabeth Zott, a brilliant chemist turned famous TV host, who decides to use her platform to challenge women’s stereotypes in the ’50s.

Starring alongside Larson is Lewis Pullman (Top Gun: Maverick), Aja Naomi King (How to Get Away with Murder), Stephanie Koenig (The Flight Attendant), Kevin Sussman (The Big Bang Theory), Patrick Walker (Gaslit), and Thomas Mann (Me and Earl and the Dying Girl). Check out the trailer below…

Set in the early 1950s, Lessons in Chemistry follows Elizabeth Zott (played by Larson), whose dream of being a scientist is put on hold in a patriarchal society. When Elizabeth finds herself fired from her lab, she accepts a job as a host on a TV cooking show, and sets out to teach a nation of overlooked housewives — and the men who are suddenly listening — a lot more than recipes.
