Capcom has dipped into its extensive archives and released both Dino Crisis and Dino Crisis 2 on Steam for the very first time. Veteran gamers can once again guide special agent Regina through corridors teeming with dinosaurs, while a new generation of players can experience a Jurassic Park that will really terrify those who visit there.
Back in 1999, Capcom decided to bring the tension and jump scares of Resident Evil and swap the zombies and genetically mutated horrors for prehistoric teeth and the great big scaly beasts they were attached to. In Dino Crisis, players take the role of Special Agent Regina and infiltrate a research facility that’s gone spectacularly out of control. Each corner of the facility will make players hold their breath in anticipation of being hit by a barrage of teeth and claws.
In the equally successful sequel, Dino Crisis 2, players see the return of Special Agent Regina as she travels back through time to the Cretaceous jungles to rescue time-displaced survivors. This time, Regina is armed with an expanded arsenal, which is great as she is up against bigger and meaner dinosaur hordes.
The new Steam editions maintain the look of the beloved originals while ensuring they run smoothly with today’s operating systems and controllers.
