Check out this first look at Netflix’s Vikings: Valhalla

September 25, 2021 by EJ Moreno

Less than a year after Vikings left History Channel, Netflix is gearing up for a sequel series. During Netflix’s TUDUM: Global Fan Event, the streamer unveiled its very first look at Vikings: Valhalla. Check it out here…

Vikings: Valhalla stars Sam Corlett as Leif Eriksson, who, according to Viking lore, sailed to North America five centuries before Christopher Columbus. In the series, we will also explore the adventures of other legendary Vikings from history, including Freydis Eriksdotter (Frida Gustavsson), Harald Hardrada (Leo Suter), and the Norman King William the Conqueror, a descendant of Rollo (Clive Standen).

The rest of the cast includes Bradley Freegard as the Danish King Canute, Laura Berlin as Emma of Normandy, Caroline Henderson as the Kattegat Jarl Haakon, Johannes Haukur Jóhannesson as Harald’s half-brother Olaf; David Oakes as the English counselor Earl Godwin, Pollyanna McIntosh as the Danish Queen Ælfgifu, and Asbjorn Krogh Nissen (Bron) is Jarl Kåre.

While this is not a direct sequel to the Vikings series, reports say Valhalla is connected to the original series through shared locations and includes legacies and mythologies established in Vikings.

Now is our time to make history. A new era of warriors will rise in Vikings: Valhalla, coming to Netflix in 2022.
