Cobra to embark on Sssilent Missions with new G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero one shots

January 26, 2026 by Gary Collinson

Having paid tribute to the classic ‘Silent Interlude’ from G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero #21 with last year’s Silent Missions one-shots, Skybound and Image Comics have announced that the ruthless terrorist organization Cobra will be sending five of its top agents on their own Sssilent Missions this April; check out the official details for the five one-shot specials here, which focus on The Baroness, the Crimson Guard, Zartan, Copperhead and Firefly…

In a standalone thriller from superstars Jöelle Jones (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles) and Declan Shalvey (Mystique), the Baroness must prevent Cobra intelligence from falling into the hands of G.I. JOE… and Destro?

Acclaimed creator Gabriel Hardman (Green Lantern: Earth One) invites you to the join the next graduating class of Crimson Guard initiates as they complete their final test: protecting Cobra Commander from an all-out assault by G.I. JOE! However, this is a test where failure is NOT an option!

Iconic Spider-Man creators Pat Olliffe (Spider-Girl) and Tom DeFalco (The Amazing Spider-Man) trap Zartan in his deadliest undercover mission yet. But for the master of disguise, outmaneuvering Cobra Commander, Major Bludd, and G.I. JOE’s not a bad day’s work…

Strap in with Howard Porter (The Flash) for a swamp death race that’s too fast and too fatal for the fearless Copperhead to turn down. Unfortunately, his competition isn’t going to let anyone–even Cobra–stop them from winning!

Eisner and Harvey Award-nominated superstar Jorge Fornés (Rorschach, Batman) sends Cobra’s deadly saboteur Firefly on a mission he must complete no matter the cost…even if that means battling the elite special forces known as The Oktober Guard.

G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero Sssilent Missions – Baroness #1 will release on April 1st, 2026, followed by Crimson Guard #1 on April 8th, Zartan #1 on April 15th, Copperhead #1 on April 22nd and Firefly #1 on April 29th 2026.
