August 21, 2025 by Ricky Church

A new trailer for Sony’s upcoming romantic fantasy A Big Bold Beautiful Journey has been released. Directed by Kogonada (After Yang), the film stars Margot Robbie (Barbie) and Colin Farrell (The Penguin) as two strangers who journey into their pasts together.

A Big Bold Beautiful Journey sees Robbie and Farrell as stranger who meet at a wedding and travel into each other’s past to witness the significant moments that brought them to their meeting. The script was written by Seth Reiss (The Menu), who also produces alongside Kogonada. Watch the trailer below…

What if you could open a doorway and walk through it to re-live a defining moment from your past? Sarah (Margot Robbie) and David (Colin Farrell) are single strangers who meet at a mutual friend’s wedding and soon, through a surprising twist of fate, find themselves on A Big Bold Beautiful Journey – a funny, fantastical, sweeping adventure together where they get to re-live important moments from their respective pasts, illuminating how they got to where they are in the present…and possibly getting a chance to alter their futures.

A Big Bold Beautiful Journey stars Margot Robbie, Colin Farrell, Kevin Kline, Jodie Turner-Smith, Lily Rabe, Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Billy Magnussen and Hamish Linklater.

A Big Bold Beautiful Journey will be released on September 19th.
