Colossus and Vanessa return for Marvel’s Deadpool 3

April 13, 2023 by Gary Collinson

Having already enlisted Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine (along with Karan Soni’s Dopinder and Leslie Uggams’ Blind Al) to star alongside Ryan Reynolds’ Merc with a Mouth, Marvel Studios is dipping back into Fox’s X-Men universe to bring back another two supporting characters for Deadpool 3 in Colossus and Vanessa.

As reported by Deadline, both Stefan Kapacic and Morena Baccarin are now officially on board to return as their respective characters – the news coming just days after Baccarin had revealed that she’d been having talks with Marvel.

This now means that much of the original non-cancelled Deadpool cast is now back for this third outing (the first under Marvel Studios), although we’re still waiting on word on Brianna Hildebrand’s Negasonic Teenage Warhead, along with Deadpool 2’s Cable (Josh Brolin) and Domino (Zazie Beetz). Presumably, we’ll also be able to expect a few MCU cameos, along with a bunch of Fox/Marvel ones…

Deadpo0l 3 is being directed by Shawn Levy (Free Guy) and sees Ryan Reynolds (Deadpool), Hugh Jackman (Wolverine), Morena Baccarin (Vanessa), Stefan Kapacic (Colossus), Karan Soni (Dopinder) and Leslie Uggams (Blind Al) joined by Marvel newcomers Matthew Macfadyen and Emma Corrin.

The as-yet-untitled Deadpool 3 is set for release on September 6th, 2024.
