Comic Book Review – World War X: Helios

April 1, 2015 by Andrew Newton

Andrew Newton reviews World War X: Helios…

The year 2017… On the moon and across the Earth, warnings from a long forgotten civilization have been discovered deep underground…

These strange and ancient cubes awaken monstrous creatures in preparation to annihilate all life that stands in their way. It is clear that humanity is not ready for this new type of world war…

This alien-apocalypse horror is by Jerry Frissen, writer of Lucha Libre, with stunning art by Peter Snejbjerg (Starman, The Light Brigade, The Books of Magic).

World War X is the new series from Titan and written by Jerry Frissen that sees the world invaded by an alien horror.  Only, the invasion has been here for millenia just waiting for the right moment and investigation into the mysterious stone cubes scattered around the world seems to be providing that moment.  Our protagonist, Adesh Khan, discovers a warning on the stone cubes but is he in time to do anything about it?

Jerry Frissen has provided a very gripping story that manages to keep you hooked to every page.  The story is perfectly complimented by the art of Peter Snejbjerg who provides some wonderfully detailed scenes.

If you are into your science fiction and love the idea of alien invasions being more than just an armada of powerful ships blasting humanity aside like a fly swatter then this is for you.  World War X is on sale now. Enjoy.
