Dark sci-fi action RPG Hellpoint coming to PC and consoles

September 3, 2018 by Andrew Newton

TinyBuild and developer Cradle Games have announced their upcoming dark sci-fi action RPG Hellpoint.  Due for release on Xbox One, Playstation 4, Nintendo Switch and PC, Hellpoint will see demon slaying galore on an abandoned space station.  See more of this demon shooting action in the announcement trailer below.

Set in the aftermath of a ‘massive quantum cataclysm’ that saw the inhabitants of the Irid Novo space station lose their minds, Hellpoint will task players with exploring the derelict station to discover what caused such devastation.  Taking the role of an, as yet, nameless character, players will journey through the corridors and rooms crafting weapons and performing rituals while all the time pursued by crazed mobs and demonic entities that have found passage through to the material world.

The Irid Novo space station orbits a super massive black hole that will directly impact events on board.  Based on the position in the sky a variety of different events can occur, such as enemies in the levels get crazier or struck by fear, bosses appear or enemies become stronger while also dropping better loot.  Figuring out when and where these effects happen will certainly help survival.

Thanks to the game’s crafting and customisation system, players can adjust their weapons and powers according to their own play style and the more they fight with a weapon, the more proficient they become to the point where powerful abilities can be unlocked.

Hellpoint will release on PC and consoles in 2019.
