Coinciding with this week’s release of Batman: Beyond the White Knight #8, DC Comics has announced that Sean Murphy’s White Knight Universe is set to expand with two new titles, Batman: What Knight Presents: Generation Joker and World’s Finest: White Knight.
First up is Generation Joker, written by Katana Collins and Clay McCormack from a story by Sean Murphy, with art by Mirka Andolfo, which picks up immediately after Beyond the White Knight and sees the rebellious kids of Jack Napier and Harley Quinn setting out on a road trip with a secret mission to bring their father back to life. “I’m really excited to be expanding the world of White Knight with this new book,” said Murphy. “I think Clay, Katana, and Mirka are doing a great job of adding more variety to the characters and the universe. Anyone who’s wondering what happens to Bruce and the gang after the big reveal in Beyond the White Knight will want to check this out.”
DC also noted that Murphy’s involvement with Generation Joker will be limited to plot and covers, as he is currently busy putting a White Knight Universe spin on Superman and Wonder Woman with the upcoming World’s Finest: White Knight.
