DC Universe Panel at San Diego Comic-Con International 2019

July 21, 2019 by Tai Freligh

Tai Freligh attended a special two-hour panel for DC Universe at SDCC…

DC UNIVERSE’s sizzling summer panels will feature many of the highly acclaimed, critically-lauded original series’ stars and creators. Fans can expect sneak peeks, first looks, exclusive screenings and breaking news for Titans, Doom Patrol, Young Justice: Outsiders and the upcoming adult-animated comedy series Harley Quinn during a special two-hour DC UNIVERSE event on Saturday night.

Flickering Myth’s Tai Freligh attended and has this report.

The panel started with a sizzle reel for Titans and an announcement of a premiere date for season two.  The cast of Titans was supposed to be in San Diego for the panel, but due to an accidental crew member death, they decided to stay with the rest of the crew for the funeral.

The discussion then moved on to Doom Patrol with series executive producer Jeremy Carver and star Diane Guerrero, who plays Crazy Jane on the show.  They played a sizzle reel from season one and announced that the show has been renewed for a second season.

Then supervising producer Jennifer Coyle and executive producers Justin Halpern and Patrick Schumaker came on stage to discuss the new adult Harley Quinn animated show.  We were treated to a viewing of the entire first episode, which had the audience in laughter for much of it and a LOT of swearing, including about 40 F-Bombs.  They answered questions afterwards.

It was then on to a panel with Brandon Vietti and Greg Weisman, producers on Young Justice: Outsiders, who also confirmed that a new season is in the works.

They took questions first and then screened an episode of Young Justice: Outsiders to conclude the evening.
