Deadpool director Tim Miller thinks we’ll get a Deadpool vs. Wolverine movie

February 6, 2016 by Gary Collinson

The two have already shared the screen in X-Men Origins: Wolverine, but now that we’re finally getting a proper take on the Merc with a Mouth, director Tim Miller has revealed that he believes we’ll see a Deadpool vs. Wolverine movie at some point in the future.

“Wolverine, man,” said Miller when asked by MTV which character he’d most like to see joining Deadpool on screen. “I know it happens, kind of, in the comics, but it would be interesting to see what it is. I do believe in the future there will be a movie called Deadpool vs. Wolverine.”

Both Hugh Jackman and Ryan Reynolds have talked about a potential Wolverine appearance in the Deadpool movie (and we’ll find out next week whether that’s the case), and a Deadpool vs. Wolverine movie would surely generate a huge amount of interest. However, if it does happen, it may have to be without Jackman, with the star set to hang up the claws after Wolverine 3. Unless Fox can coax him out of retirement..?
