Bandai Namco Entertainment has released a new free update for DEATH NOTE Killer Within that introduces a brand-new role in Kira’s team. There’s also been the addition of new Premium DLC for those who want to have a splash of variety in their teams. A new trailer can be seen below showcasing these new additions.
The free update for DEATH NOTE Killer Within introduces the new Kira’s Spokesperson role. This brand-new role has the extra-special responsibility for reducing the number of investigators, this is achieved by secretly planting “Kira’s Kingdom Cards” on other players during the Action phase. Should any player that has had this card planted on them be arrested, they will be categorised as one of Kira’s collaborators and will be unable to continue participating in the investigation. The player who has taken this new role also needs to be careful not to raise suspicion as they will risk the same punishment if arrested while holding the cards.
Players can also purchase new premium DLC to add a bit of flair to their teams. There’s a premium Light Yagami (shirt) avatar and the Premium Customisation Track Vol. 5. This new track features two additional premium avatars for Rem and Naomi Misora, two new nameplates, ten character cut-ins, 19 accessories and two brand-new adorable pets.
DEATH NOTE Killer Within is an exciting 10-player social deduction game based on the popular anime series and is available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 and PC via Steam.
