Descend into a cursed well with Death Kid on Nintendo Switch and Xbox

June 13, 2025 by Andrew Newton

Take IT Studio! and Crooked Games have announced the arrival of their arcade-inspired arena brawler, Death Kid, on Nintendo Switch and Xbox consoles. With arcade brutality, face waves of relentless enemies and save three souls trapped inbetween life and death. Watch the game’s launch trailer below….

For those who like a touch of pixel art brutality, tense decision-making, quick reflexes and the right amount of supernatural horror, Death Kid might be your next indie obsession. Players must descend into a cursed well where three fragile souls hang in the balance between life and death and protect them while fighting off wave after wave of twisted enemies. Lose all three, and it’s game over.

Players will have to fight their way through eight floors of chaos, customise their build by choosing from 15 passive upgrades and 6 upgradable abilities, and activate Rage Mode when things get desperate. Players can even steal powers from their enemies and use these to fight evil with its own tricks.

Featuring:

  • 8 floors of intense action.
  • Make use of 15 passive upgrades and 6 upgradable abilities.
  • Fill the fury meter and unleash Rage Mode.
  • Absorb enemies’ abilities and use it against them.
  • Surprise gameplay moments between runs.

With dynamic side events and tons of replayability, Death Kid is a must-play for fans of challenging, fast-paced action. Get your copy now on Nintendo Switch and Xbox consoles.
