Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness will reportedly feature minor Namor villain Gargantos

July 30, 2021 by Amie Cranswick

If rumours are to be believed, Marvel Studios and Sam Raimi are going to be featuring some rather out there characters in next year’s Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.

It’s already been reported that the magical alien minotaur Rintrah will be making an appearance, and it looks like we may also be getting a giant octopus as a listing on industry casting website Mandy has revealed that actress Yenifer Molina (Pokemon: Detective Pikachu) is portraying Gargantos!

Who, you ask? Well, thanks to Doctor Strange 2 Updates on Twitter, Gargantos is a minor villain of Namor the Sub-Mariner, who’s only made a couple of appearances in the comics. Quite how the character might factor in this multiverse-spanning adventure is anyone’s guess, although so too is everything else about the movie at this point.
