Doctor Who Comics Day returns this year with launch of new Doctor Who series

September 4, 2020 by Gary Collinson

After taking a break in 2019, Titan Comics has announced that Doctor Who Comics Day is set to return this year, with the global event set to include the collected edition release of the upcoming Doctor Who: Time Lord Victorious, as well as the launch of a brand new comic series starring the Thirteenth and Tenth Doctors as well as fan favourite companion Rose Tyler!

Whovians across the globe can celebrate Doctor Who Comics Day from the comfort of their homes on digital platforms, or in person at comic shops, bookstores, libraries where these are open and have suitable social distancing measures in place.

Time Lord Victorious is a brand-new multi-platform Doctor Who story told across audio, novels, comics, vinyl, digital, immersive theatre, escape rooms and games. Titan’s contribution to Time Lord Victorious is a special Tenth Doctor adventure that sees the Doctor’s most iconic enemy, the Daleks, make their Titan Comics debut.

If that wasn’t enough of a reason to get involved, Titan is also excited to reveal that an all-new comic series, which sees Rose Tyler, the Thirteenth and Tenth Doctor teaming up, will launch as part of the event, separately to Time Lord Victorious.

Both the Doctor Who Time Lord Victorious collection and the new comic series are written by Eisner-nominated Jody Houser (Stranger Things, Star Wars, Spider-Man) with art by Roberta Ingranata (Witchblade) and Enrica Eren Angiolini (Shades of Magic).

Fans will have the opportunity to collect a fantastic range of beautiful covers as part of Doctor Who Comics Day celebrations, including artwork by Peach Momoko and an exclusive Doctor Who Comics Day cover by Rachael Stott (shown above) – only available in comic shops.
