Back in December it was announced that UFC star Conor McGregor is set to appear in the upcoming seventh season of Game of Thrones, and now EW has revealed that we can expect another celebrity cameo, with Ed Sheeran heading to Westeros for a mystery role in the epic fantasy series.
Game of Thrones has a habit of featuring musicians, with previous seasons including cameos from Sigur Ros, Mastodon, Will Champion of Coldplay and Gary Lightbody of Snow Patrol.

Meanwhile, in other news, showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss have confirmed at a SXSW panel that the eighth and final season of the show will consist of just six episodes, meaning that with the upcoming seventh season, there’s just 13 episodes remaining…
