Enjoy a family friendly zombie outbreak with The Last Kids on Earth and the Staff of Doom

June 4, 2021 by Andrew Newton

Outright Games and developer Stage Clear Studios have released their family-friendly action adventure The Last Kids on Earth and the Staff of Doom on Xbox, Playstation, Nintendo Switch and PC.  Inspired by the New York Times best-selling books and Emmy award-winning Netflix series The Last Kids on Earth, this action adventure will pit the series’ child heroes against zombies and monsters.  Watch the new launch trailer below…

The Last Kids on Earth and the Staff of Doom is a semi open world action RPG that puts players in the roles of the teen heroes, Jack, Quint, June and Dirk in a brand-new story set in the post-apocalyptic town of Wakefield (I’m assuming not the one in West Yorkshire).  The new story finds the heroes roaming the zombie-infested streets on a mission to stop the pwoerful adversary known as Malondre from obtaining the Staff of Doom.

Players will need to explore the streets, using the 4 children’s different combat skills to take out zombies and monsters and stop Malondre.  Blueprints and resources can be discovered around the town that will allow the four to upgrade their abilities, equipment and more importantly, their home in the treehouse.

Players can enjoy 1-4 player offline couch co-op with online multiplayer functions will arrive at a later date.

‘’It’s been an incredibly exciting adventure for us becoming a part of The Last Kids on Earth universe. We’ve had the best time working with author Max Brallier and Atomic Cartoons on transporting the amazing characters from the books and TV into an action-packed zombie adventure that’s fun for all the family. We hope players will enjoy it as much as we do.’’ –  Terry Malham, CEO of Outright Games.

The Last Kids on Earth and the Staff of Doom is available now on PC via Steam and consoles.
