Farm in the fantasy yokai world of Tales of Seikyu in 2025

June 10, 2024 by Andrew Newton

ACE Entertainment and publisher Fireshine Games have announced they will be releasing their fantasy farming adventure Tales of Seikyu on Steam Early Access in early 2025.  Players will have the opportunity to learn more about yokai as they build their own farm of mythical/ supernatural creatures.  A new trailer introducing us to this world can be seen below….

Yokai is a Japanese word for mythical beasts and beings such as ghosts, shapeshifters, dryads, slimes and a multitude of other supernatural things that we see in anime and manga, and in Tales of Seikyu we get to see the land in which they dwell.

In Tales of Seikyu players will be able to build a farm and restore a countryside inn to its former glory with the help of a variety of extraordinary characters in Seikyu Village.  Players will be able to expand their ranch, grow crops, craft recipes, renovate a number of old buildings and even decorate their rooms to create their own personalised inn.

Tales of Seikyu isn’t just farming and room design, players will also be able to explore the magical land of Seikyu and discover all the different yokai that call it home by using ability-enhancing masks to transform into mythical creatures.  Using these masks it will be possible to change shape into a dryad and explore the forests, deep dive into the oceans as a slime or soar through the air as a Crow Tengu.

“Tales of Seikyu is a truly charming fantasy farming adventure that we’re so excited for everyone to experience early next year,” said Katie Clark, Senior Product Manager at Fireshine Games. “With its magical, shapeshifting twist and adorable villagers to meet, Tales of Seikyu is a cosy, wholesome game that we immediately fell in love with. We can’t wait to show more of the magic of Seikyu in the months ahead.”

Tales of Seikyu will be available on Steam Early Access in early 2025. Keep your eyes peeled for more news coming in the future.
