First look at Jeffrey Dean Morgan in The Postcard Killings, Famke Janssen joins cast

May 16, 2019 by Gary Collinson

Having just wrapped production Good Films Collective has unveiled a first look image from the crime thriller The Postcard Killings featuring Jeffrey Dean Morgan (The Walking Dead) as Jacob Kanon, a detective intent on capturing his daughter’s murderer.

Along with the image, it has also been announced that Famke Janssen (X-Men) features in the cast as Jacob’s wife Valerie Kanon. Janssen stars alongside Denis O’Hare (American Horror Story), Naomi Battrick (A Very English Scandal), Ruairi O’Connor (The Spanish Princess), Cush Jumbo (The Good Wife), Sallie Harmsen (Blade Runner 2049), Eva Röse (The Paradise Suite) and Joachim Król (Run Lola Run).

Based on the James Patterson and Liza Marklund bestseller The Postcard Killers, the film is directed by Danis Tanovic (Death in Sarajevo) and follows Jacob Kanan, a hardened New York Detective, in search of the person responsible for the murder of his only daughter. Across Europe, newlywed couples are being targeted in a string of bizarre homicides that leave the young victims’ bodies looking like they have been staged.
