First look images from the new Salem’s Lot debut online

August 25, 2024 by Gary Collinson

Having sat locked away in the Warner Bros. Discovery vault next to Batgirl and Coyote vs. Acme for the best part of the past two years after being pulled from its original September 2022 date, New Line Cinema and Atomic Monster’s Stephen King adaptation Salem’s Lot is finally set to break free – albeit straight-to-streaming – with a long-overdue release this October.

Whetting our appetites for the new take on King’s 1975 novel, which has previously adapted twice on the small screen (most notably by Texas Chain Saw Massacre’s Tobe Hooper in 1979), we’ve now got a selection of first-look images from the film, which has been written and directed by Gary Dauberman (Annabelle Comes Home) and sees Lewis Pullman leading a cast that includes Makenzie Leigh, Alfre Woodard, Bill Camp, John Benjamin Hickey, Nicholas Crovetti, Jordan Preston Carter, William Sadler, Spencer Treat Clark, Cade Woodward, Debra Christofferson, and Pilou Asbaek. Check out the first look images here…

“Haunted by an incident from his childhood, author Ben Mears returns to his hometown of Jerusalem’s Lot in search of inspiration for his next book, only to discover the town is being preyed upon by a bloodthirsty vampire and his loyal servant.”

Salem’s Lot will premiere on Max in October in the U.S., with a UK theatrical release set for October 11th.
