Four new Commando comics take us to the wars of the future

March 25, 2026 by Andrew Newton

Four more Commando comics arrive on Thursday, 26th March, which take regular readers away from the action of World War II to the wars of the far future. Issues 5943-5946 have been taken from the 1994 G-Tex collection and feature the challenges that the soldiers of the future will face.

Issue 5943 – Gladiator Challenge by Mike Knowles, follows Colonel Wolfe Brady as he takes on the enemies of the future. Heroes like Brady have nerves of steel and the courage to face the fear and danger of the battles of the future. This issue, first published in 1994 as No. 2725, features cover art by Ian Kennedy and internal art by Phil Gascoine.

Mike Knowles brings more action-packed adventure for Colonel Wolfe Brady in 5944 (Gold): Roman Challenge, as he tackles more conflicts of the late 21st century. This issue tests Brady’s skills as he faces hackers who break into the system and cause absolute chaos.  Manuel Benet provides the art for this issue that was first published in 1994 as No. 2738.

No. 5945 (For Action and Adventure): Viking Challenge by Ian Clark brings another adventure for Britain’s most experienced G-Tex Colonel Wolfe Brady. This mission will need to be handled carefully, and with respect, as he faces Lieutenant Tavis Magee, a man who he has clashed with before. Will Brady be beat by this opponent? Carlos Pino supplies the art for this issue, which was first published in 1994 as No. 2754.

Finally, in 5946 (Silver): Rogue Challenge by Mike Knowles, an evil genius introduces a terrifying new element to G-Tex’s world of computer war games. What can G-Tex do to stop him? First published as issue 2746, this exciting adventure features art by Garijo and cover art by Ian Kennedy.

These four new sci-fi war stories will release on March 26th.
