Frozen 3 could be a two-parter as Frozen 4 announced

Bob Iger knows Disney needs a major win, so he’s banking on more Frozen. We’ll now see not only Frozen 3 but another Frozen to follow that.


During his appearance on Good Morning America, the Disney CEO broke the sequel news: “Frozen 3 is in the works, and there might be a Frozen 4 in the works too. But I don’t have much to say about those films right now. [Director] Jenn Lee, who created the original Frozen and Frozen 2, is hard at work with her team at Disney animation on not one but actually two stories.”

Lee, who served as the filmmaker of the first film and now is chief creative officer of Walt Disney Animation Studios, shared only a few production details while keeping mum on the story: “Only what we have already shared, which is the team is hard at work, we are deeply excited about the story we are shaping together, and it’s so epic it may not fit into just one film.”

Will Frozen 3 and Frozen 4 serve as a two-part epic saga for the franchise? As mentioned, Disney could use a surefire home run and a double dose of Anna & Elsa could be that cure. The first film broke records and once sat as the fifth highest-grossing film of all time, along with winning multiple Oscars. The sequel Frozen 2 then racked up $1.45 billion in 2019, making it the
