Get a first look at Rick and Morty: The Manga

July 19, 2023 by Amie Cranswick

Back in March it was announced that Oni Press would be teaming with Warner Bros. Discovery and Adult Swim to put a manga spin on Rick and Morty, and now we have our first look at the upcoming Rick and Morty: The Manga Vol. 1 – Get in the Robot, Morty! below ahead of its release in November. Take a look…

Continuing Oni’s long-running series of comic-book adventures for pop culture’s beloved dimension-hopping duo, this manga-inspired gauntlet of action and absurdity will see Rick and Morty face a foe unlike any they’ve seen before. Well, it’s basically Jerry, but he’s huge, fast, vicious, and… naked? Rick has the perfect solution: a giant mech fighting robot, perfectly designed and calibrated to take on the Jiant horde—but it needs a puny, socially isolated, 14-year-old pilot. Oh, we’ve got one! Summer, Morty, and his charming new friend Rowan navigate this violent post-apocalyptic world, where they still have to go to high school and Rick seems oddly invested in upgrading the mech with stylish new features.
