Carruth, best known for his head-scratching sci-fi cinema, will also star in The Modern Ocean, which has been described as a nautical action adventure.

According to Deadline, a who’s-who of Hollywood stars have signed up for the epic film.

Joining Hathaway, Reeves and Radcliffe are Jeff Goldblum (Mortdecai), new Spider-Man Tom Holland, Abraham Attah (Beasts of No Nation) and reuniting Hugo duo Asa Butterfield and Chloë Grace Moretz.

Plot details for The Modern Ocean are largely under wraps, but the story looks set to focus on the deadly competition for valuable shipping routes.

With a cast like this one queuing up to take part, it’s sure to be something very special.
