Michael Myers returns to comics for Halloween: The Game tie-in series

August 24, 2026 by Gary Collinson

With IllFonic’s Halloween: The Game set to arrive in just a few short weeks, Daily Dead has the official scoop on a tie-in comic book from PANICK Entertainment, with the limited series Halloween: The Game Comic launching in November from writers Hans Rodionoff and Adam F. Goldberg and artists Eamon Winkle, Robert Nugent, Ivan Dedov and Sean O’Toole.

The comic promises to “expand upon the world and characters of the new bvideo game while delivering a standalone horror story inspired by the mythology and atmosphere that made the original 1978 film a landmark of the genre” and “begins on the night before Halloween 1978, where Michael Myers orchestrates a brutal escape from Smith’s Grove Sanitarium, leaving a trail of bodies in his wake. As Dr. Loomis realizes pure evil is loose, Michael begins his relentless journey home toward Haddonfield, slaughtering anyone unfortunate enough to cross his path.”

“Halloween is one of the foundational properties of modern horror, and this game and story gives readers an incredible opportunity to get back to the characters and the world that started it all while offering some new elements that will surprise and terrify fans,” said Kris Longo, Founder and CEO of PANICK Entertainment. “The combination of Hans Rodionoff, Adam F. Goldberg and this phenomenal art team makes for an incredible Halloween comic. This is classic Michael Myers unleashed, and we think fans are going to love getting a glimpse of some truly spine-tingling moments that were not seen in Carpenter’s original film.”

“At IllFonic creating immersive worlds for gamers’ favorite stories is what we pride ourselves on doing,” added Charles Brungardt, CEO at IllFonic. “Branching into comics with the creation of IllComic seemed like a logical next step in that story telling process. It can often feel like there is more story to tell and now we have a way to do that organically. And now with the right partners in place we are extremely excited to expand in this way.”

Halloween: The Game Comic #1 will go on sale on November 4th 2026.
