HBO releases teaser trailer for Native Son

Following its world premiere last month at the Sundance Film Festival, HBO has released a teaser trailer for the upcoming drama Native Son. Based on Richard Wright’s 1940 novel of the same name, the film marks the feature directorial debut for Rashid Johnson and stars Ashton Sanders, Margaret Qualley, Nick Robinson, KiKi Layne, Bill Camp, and Sanaa Lathan; watch it here…

“Bigger Thomas (Sanders), is a young African-American living in Chicago who is hired as a chauffeur for affluent businessman Will Dalton (Bill Camp). As Thomas enters this seductive new world of money and power — including a precarious relationship with Dalton’s daughter, Mary (Margaret Qualley) — he faces unforeseen choices and perilous circumstances that will alter the course of his life forever.”

Native Son premieres on HBO on April 6th.
