Henry Cavill is Argylle in trailer for Matthew Vaughn’s spy comedy

September 30, 2023 by Amie Cranswick

Universal Pictures and Apple TV+ have released a poster and trailer for Argylle, the star-studded spy action comedy from director Matthew Vaughn.

The film stars Bryce Dallas Howard as author Elly Conway, who finds the world of her fictional novels about super spy protagonist Argylle (Henry Cavill) blurring with reality when her books get a little too close to real life. Watch the trailer below…

Bryce Dallas Howard (Jurassic World franchise) is Elly Conway, the reclusive author of a series of best-selling espionage novels, whose idea of bliss is a night at home with her computer and her cat, Alfie. But when the plots of Elly’s fictional books—which center on secret agent Argylle and his mission to unravel a global spy syndicate—begin to mirror the covert actions of a real-life spy organization, quiet evenings at home become a thing of the past.

Argylle‘s ensemble cast includes Bryce Dallas-Howard (Jurassic World), Henry Cavill (The Witcher), Sam Rockwell (Vice), Bryan Cranston (Breaking Bad), Dua Lipa (Barbie), John Cena (Peacemaker), Catherine O’Hara (Schitt’s Creek), Samuel L. Jackson (The Hitman’s Bodyguard), Ariana DeBose (The Prom) and Rob Delaney (Deadpool 2).

Argylle arrives in cinemas on February 2nd.
