October 15, 2023 by Gary Collinson

Second Sight Films has announced a brand-new Limited Edition 4K/Blu-ray Dual Edition Box set release of director Alexandre Aja’s (The Hills Have Eyes, Piranha 3D) 2003 shocker High Tension (a.k.a. Switchblade Romance).

A cult classic of the New French Extremity movement, High Tension stars Cécile de France (The French Dispatch) and Maïwenn (The Fifth Element) as two best friends who find themselves the target of a brutal serial killer (Philippe Nahon; Irreversible). Check out the details for the new Second Sight release here…

Alex (Maïwenn) and Marie’s (Cécile de France) study-weekend takes a savage turn, when a murderous maniac (Philippe Nahon – Irreversible), turns up on their doorstep. As Alex’s family is gruesomely picked off one-by-one, and one of them is taken hostage, a white-knuckle pursuit ensues… as Marie desperately battles to save them both from becoming his next victims.
