May 18, 2026 by Matt Rodgers

Neon has dropped the teaser trailer for buzzy Cannes Film Festival blockbuster fantasy flick Hope, which features giant spaceships, rampaging monsters, and events of cosmic proportions.

Directed by Na Hong-jin (The Wailing), Hope tells the story of two police officers who are called to investigate sightings of a mysterious creature that has wreaked havoc on a small South Korean village, while at the same time in the nearby forest, a group of hunters, set out to track the beast and find themselves hunted instead. Starring Hwang Jung-min, Zo In-sung, Hoyeon, Alicia Vikander, Michael Fassbender, Taylor Russell and Cameron Britton, you can check out the trailer below…

In Hope Harbor, a remote village near the Demilitarized Zone, police chief Bum-seok receives alarming news from local youths that a tiger has appeared. As the village erupts into panic, Bum-seok is forced to confront a reality beyond belief.

Hope arrives in cinemas Fall 2026.
