With The Vampire Lestat having come to an end, AMC revealed at their SDCC Hall H panel that the Interview with the Vampire anthology is getting a fourth season with the new title Anne Rice’s Queen of the Damned.
The panel released a teaser trailer which shows Sheila Atim reprising her role as Akasha, the original vampire. Atim was introduced in The Vampire Lestat as she was awoken from her slumber. The finale ended with a tease of her destructive rise and the teaser builds off this by showing her thirst for power as she encourages a revolution with her at the head. Queen of the Damned is the third book in Rice’s Vampire Chronicles following Interview and Lestat.
Anne Rice’s Queen of the Damned will be showrun by Hannah Moscovitch. Moscovitch was a writer for Interview with the Vampire and wrote for Akasha and Gabriella’s characters in The Vampire Lestat. She will also executive produce alongside The Vampire Lestat‘s Mark Johnson and Rolin Jones.

Anne Rice’s Queen of the Damned is coming to AMC in 2027.
