Into the Deep trailer teases a Dead Calm-esque thriller

August 11, 2022 by Amie Cranswick

Lionsgate has released a poster and trailer for the UK thriller Into the Deep. Directed by Kate Cox, the film stars Ella-Rae Smith as Jess, a woman swept off her feet by a mysterious stranger (Matthew Daddario) who promises her a romantic trip on his boat, but their fun is soon interrupted when they are joined by Lexie (Jessica Alexander) and the night soon takes a violent and deceitful turn; take a look here…

Jess (Ella-Rae Smith) is swept off her feet by a mysterious stranger named Ben (Matthew Daddario), who takes her to his boat that’s docked nearby. Dangerously adrift miles from shore, their romance is interrupted when Lexie (Jessica Alexander) shows up, and soon the three get wasted and play sexy games. When the party takes a sudden turn for the worse, it’s clear that either Ben or Lexie is a dangerous liar. In the explosive climax, Jess must decide which one to help…and which one to destroy.

Into the Deep arrives in select cinemas and digital platforms on August 26th.
