It looks like Nick Fury and Maria Hill will appear in Spider-Man: Far From Home

July 27, 2018 by Gary Collinson

It looks like we may have confirmation on a couple of Marvel Cinematic Universe cameos for Spider-Man: Far From Home, with new cast addition Numan Acar sharing a post to Instagram which seems to reveal that Samuel L. Jackson’s Nick Fury and Cobie Smulders’ Maria Hill will be making an appearance in the sequel to last year’s Spider-Man: Homecoming.

Acar, whose was announced earlier this month as joining the cast in a mystery role (with rumours suggesting he could be portraying The Chameleon), also appears to confirm that Jake Gyllenhaal is officially on board as the main antagonist, Mysterio – a casting that Marvel is yet to make official despite numerous reports from trusted outlets.

Nick Fury and Maria Hill were last seen turning to dust in the post-credits scene of Avengers: Infinity War, while Jackson will be back to portray a younger Nick Fury in Marvel’s next superhero offering, the 90s set Captain Marvel.

Spider-Man: Far From Home will be released on July 5th 2019 and features the return of Tom Holland (Spider-Man), Marisa Tomei (Aunt May), Michael Keaton (The Vulture), Zendaya (Michelle) and Jacob Batalon (Ned), while J.B. Smoove (Uncle Drew) has also been cast in an undisclosed role.
