Jamie Chung to play Valerie Vale in Gotham season 3

June 21, 2016 by Gary Collinson

Last week it was reported that casting was underway for the character of Vicki Vale in Gotham season three, but it turns out it’s actually Vicki Vale’s aunt Valerie, with TV Line reporting that Jamie Chung (Sucker Punch, Big Hero 6) has secured the role.

The official character description reads: “Gotham Gazette‘s newest hire, Valerie is a crackerjack reporter dead set on uncovering the truth behind Indian Hill. Confident and dogged, she will do anything to get the scoop, and soon sets her sights on Gordon, who she believes is the key lead in her story.”

Expect further casting news on Gotham season three soon, with the producers looking for a new actress to take over the role of Poison Ivy, as well as a series regular villain “who learns people’s secrets and manipulates them to do his bidding.”

Gotham returns to Fox for its third season in the fall.
