October 12, 2024 by Ricky Church

American Pie and Orange is the New Black star Jason Biggs has made his directorial debut with the action-comedy Getaway about a married couple’s romantic weekend away gone awry. Per Variety, the film has just been acquired by Paramount’s Republic Pictures for global distribution.

Getaway stars Biggs as “a hapless husband who stages a home invasion during a romantic getaway weekend in a desperate attempt to save his marriage, only for plan to go very wrong.”

Getaway was written by Jamie Napoli and Joshua Paul Johnson. Starring alongside Biggs in the film are Meaghan Rath (Hawaii Five-0), Arturo Castro (Broad City), Justin H. Min (The Umbrella Academy) and Anna Konkle (Pen15).
