Julia Davis and Elijah Wood added to Legendary’s Toxic Avenger reboot

June 16, 2021 by Matt Rodgers

Another day, another cast member added to Legendary’s Peter Dinklage headlined reboot of The Toxic Avenger. This time it’s Nighty Night’s Julia Davis, and the artist formerly known as Frodo, Elijah Wood who have joined Macon Blair’s upcoming movie.

Davis, best known for her role in the hit BBC show Gavin & Stacey, as well as the same channel’s pitch-black comedy Nighty Night, is added to the cast along with Green Street and Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind‘s Elijah Wood. They join the recently announced Kevin Bacon, who will play the film’s OTT villain, Room‘s Jacob Tremblay, and Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom‘s Taylour Paige.

Macon Blair, perhaps best known for his incredible performance in Jeremy Saulnier’s Blue Ruin, will direct the reimagining of Troma Entertainment’s iconic 1984 cult-classic, with Game of Thrones and The Station Agent‘s Peter Dinklage playing the titular character.

Let us know what you think of these additions to the cast. Are you looking forward to this reboot of the Toxic Avenger? Let us know by heading to our social channels @FlickeringMyth…
