Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle sequel will see the return of the teens

February 5, 2019 by Ricky Church

As Sony prepares the sequel to Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle, they have announced the return of the four teenager actors at the centre of the film’s adventure.

Alex Wolff, Ser’Darius Blain, Madison Iseman, and Morgan Turner will reprise their roles as Spencer, Fridge, Bethany and Martha, the real versions of Dwayne Johnson, Kevin Hart, Jack Black and Karen Gillan’s avatar characters.

The follow-up to 2017’s blockbuster will reunite director Jake Kasdan with stars Dwayne Johnson, Jack Black, Karen Gillan and Kevin Hart, while Awkwafina (Crazy Rich Asians), Danny DeVito (It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia) and Danny Glover (Lethal Weapon) have recently been announced to join the franchise.

Character details for the three new additions are being kept under wraps, as is the plot for the film, which has been scripted by Kasdan and Welcome to the Jungle co-writers Scott Rosenberg and Jeff Pinkner. We do know however that Sony has set the untitled movie for a December 13th 2019 release date.
