Kevin Conroy and Mark Hamill would like to see Hush and A Death in the Family animated movies

September 5, 2016 by Gary Collinson

Back in July Warner Bros. released its animated take on Batman: The Killing Joke, fulfilling a long-held ambition of its two voice stars Kevin Conroy and Mark Hamill, who voice Batman and The Joker respectively.

While the resulting movie may not have been the classic that fans were hoping for, it seems the two Batman: The Animated Series co-stars are keen to bring more iconic tales of the Dark Knight to the big screen.

During a Q&A session with the duo at Fan Expo in Canada (via Screen Geek), a fan asked what the future might hold in terms of future animated projects. Conroy turned to Hamill and said, “What do you think about doing Hush?”, with Hamill then responding, “What do you think about doing A Death in the Family.”

As you’d expect, these comments were met very enthusiastically by the fans in attendance.

Published between 2002 and 2003, Hush pitted Batman against a host of his most deadly foes, all the while finding himself challenged at every turn by a mysterious figure called Hush. 1988’s A Death in the Family is notable for the death of the second Robin, Jason Todd, who was bludgeoned to death by The Joker following a fan vote to decide his fate. Parts of the story featured in the 2010 animated movie Batman: Under the Red Hood.

Would you like to see Warner Bros. adding Hush and A Death in the Family to its line-up of DC Universe Animated Original Movies. Or, after Batman: The Killing Joke, are these classic storylines best left untouched? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below…
