Lee Cronin’s The Mummy gets first look teaser trailer

January 12, 2026 by EJ Moreno

You know the old horror-movie saying: “Some things are meant to stay buried.”

Well, Lee Cronin’s The Mummy will remind you of that as the classic monster movie is getting a new update. Cronin, best known for 2023’s Evil Dead Rise, is teaming with the producing team of James Wan, Jason Blum, and John Keville, and the film is said to be an “audacious and twisted retelling.”

Little is known about the project, but the new teaser has fans intrigued about what will unfold in The Mummy. If his take on Evil Dead is anything to go by, it will be a bloody good time.

The film stars Jack Reynor, Laia Costa, May Calamawy, Natalie Grace, and Veronica Falcón. Check out the official teaser trailer and debut poster below…

The young daughter of a journalist disappears into the desert without a trace—eight years later, the broken family is shocked when she is returned to them, as what should be a joyful reunion turns into a living nightmare.

The film will be distributed worldwide by Warner Bros. Pictures, only in theaters and IMAX in North America on April 17, 2026, and internationally beginning 15 April 2026.
