Life is Strange Season 2 Episode 3 release date and trailer revealed

April 5, 2019 by Patrick Nolan

If anyone was excited to play the next episode of Life is Strange this month, too bad, as episode three is slated for a May 9th release date. The episode is titled ‘Wastelands’ and you can check out a teaser for the episode here…

Episode three’s events will take place a few months after the events of episode two and will continue the story of Sean and Daniel Diaz as they attempt to flee to Mexico. A press release of the announcement also seems to suggest that a conflict might arise between the brothers as they become involved in the illegal cannabis trade.

Episode three will also be playable by itself and you will now be able to skip the previous two episodes, for whatever reason, Dontnod have you covered. Jon Brooke, Co-Head of Studio at Square Enix External Studios said, “It took a bit of time to set it up since we needed to ensure all episodes can be played individually and even out of order, which wasn’t the original design.” He continues, ”But we are glad to finally be able to announce that the fans can now purchase each Episode of Life is Strange 2 individually on launch day from now on.”

The announced release date also means that Life is Strange 2 episode three won’t appear on Xbox game pass until August, episode two will appear on Microsoft’s subscription service on April 24th. Dontnod also recently announced that they have two other games that are in the currently in the works but they failed to provide any specific details on what they will be or who is publishing them.
