Developer Leap Studio and publisher 663 Games have announced the release of a third free major update for their ink-style inspired action roguelike Realm of Ink. Realm of Ink is a stunning looking game that puts players in the role of the swordswoman Red. In her pursuit of the Fox Demon, Red finds her life is dictated by the destiny of the book and needs to seek out a way to break free and determine her own fate.
December’s update of Realm of Ink includes three new Ink Gem Powers provide powerful additions to players’ build options. These include the Guardian and Pisces Inks, which both summon very useful Ink Pets, and the Kylin Ink which improves the quality of dropped perks. The addition of these new items brings the total of Ink Gem Powers to 37.
The update also sees the arrival of the brand-new Legendary Elixir System. This system introduces 25 Legendary Elixirs that will significantly enhance an Ink Gem build when consumed, with some even having a transformational breakthrough.
Players will also be able to discover 21 new Perks that deepen the build diversity for players and makes every battle more engaging and challenging. The addition of these new Perks increases the game’s Perk total to 185.
There is now a new ability for each of the nine characters that revolutionise their play-styles. These abilities will allow players to explore different possibilities and strategies that make each character truly unique.
Finally, the new update brings a number of quality-of-life changes that enhance the game.
Realm of Ink is available on Steam Early Access now and from 19th December to 2nd January will be participating in the Steam Winter Sale with a 10% discount.
